What is PEN123?

PEN123 was founded more than ten years ago by Patrick and Michelle Chang. It started as a weekly radio program dedicated to teaching conversational English. A website as well as a popular summer camp soon followed. PEN123 has since expanded to include evening and weekend courses year round.

What does PEN stand for?

PEN is an acronym for the Patrick English Network, nameds after one of the company's co-founders. PEN123 is an integrated network offering many different ways to learn English.

What makes PEN123 different from other English-teaching companies?

PEN123 courses are unique because the sole focus is conversational English – no textbook responses allowed! Classes are small and casual, and students learn to carry on natural conversations and to respond to challenging, real life situations.
